FAQs
Do I need a referral to see Nicky?
The short answer is no you don’t! You can make an appointment online with no referral. However, you can get a referral with notes from your local GP, a specialist, or a psychologist. This is helpful if there is to be a collaboration with other therapists or medical professionals. Counsellors & social workers in Australia do not get issued with a Medicare provider number so you will not be able to claim a Medicare rebate, regardless of a referral.
How often do I need an appointment?
This all depends on what is established at the first session. Weekly, fortnightly or monthly appointments can be discussed and made accordingly to your needs.
Can I get a Medicare rebate for a Perinatal Counselling session?
If you are seeing Nicky for a Perinatal Counselling session, you will get 3 sessions with a Medicare rebate.
How much does your service cost?
Unblock therapy is a private service. No Medicare or private healthcare rebate is available unless you are seeing Nicky for a Perinatal Counselling session. Our prices are available to view on the book online page on this website.
